Meet Our Doctors
Tiffany K. Shields, DMD, NMD, CIABDM, FIAOMT

Dr. Tiffany Shields is passionate about helping her patients achieve optimal oral health while recognizing that the mouth is an integral part of the whole body. As an integrative and biological dentist, she believes dentistry should look beyond individual teeth to consider the connection between oral health, overall wellness, and each patient’s unique needs.
Born and raised in the Jacksonville area, Dr. Shields returned to her hometown to establish her practice and serve the community she loves. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Cell Science with a minor in Dance from the University of Florida before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where she graduated at the top of her class.
Dr. Shields has pursued extensive advanced education in biological, integrative, and holistic dentistry. She is Board Certified in Integrative Biologic Dental Medicine and Board Certified as a Naturopathic Dentist. She is a Fellow of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) and Certified with the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine (IABDM). Her advanced training includes oxygen/ozone therapy in dental medicine and a Mastership in Laser Aesthetic Applications.
For Dr. Shields, biological dentistry is about much more than dental materials or techniques. It means looking at the whole person, understanding the oral-systemic connection, educating patients, and empowering them to make informed decisions about their health. Her goal is to create an environment where patients feel heard, respected, educated, and cared for as a whole person.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Shields is a devoted wife and mother of two. Her Christian faith, family, and service to others are central to her life and influence the way she cares for her patients.
Dance has also been a lifelong passion. Today, she enjoys sharing that passion by teaching dance, including teaching her own daughter. She loves helping young dancers develop confidence, discipline, creativity, perseverance, and joy—qualities that have shaped her own life as well.
Ultimately, Dr. Shields believes dentistry is about people—not just teeth. Through her commitment to biological and integrative dentistry, lifelong learning, faith, family, and service, she strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the patients and families she is privileged to serve.
