Fees
Every patient must have a comprehensive exam before any treatment can be done. The total cost may also include x-rays (unless current and adequate images have been provided) and additional testing – such as dental materials evaluation – that Dr. Shields may recommend.
Once Dr. Shields has thoroughly reviewed your records and her exam findings, we will have you return for a consultation. In this meeting, she will review her findings with you and discuss any treatment recommendations.
We will discuss options, fees, and payments with you before proceeding. We want you to have as much information as possible so you can make the best, most informed choices about your dental health care.
Missed/Late Cancellation Fees
You may be charged for missed or late-cancelled appointments.
When you schedule with us, we reserve a considerable block of time just for you. If you need to change it, please give us at least 7 days notice. You may be charged for missed appointments or rescheduling without sufficient notice.
Payments
Payment is expected in full at the time of service.
We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. For our clients wanting longer term payments, CareCredit is available.
Insurance
We are happy to file your insurance electronically on the day of service to assist in your reimbursement.
Please keep in mind that your benefits contract is between you and your provider. It’s up to you to know what your plan covers. We can’t guarantee that your insurer will pay for any given treatment.
Patients with verified benefits may pay half the total on the day of service while we file your insurance claim. You can then complete a credit card form so we can charge any remaining balance after insurance pays.
